OFF GRID FOREVER

IT’S NOT LIVING WITHOUT. IT’S LIVING WITH MEANING.

OUR FIRST RV

We’ve lived off grid in different ways: in our first small RV (pictured); in an RV we built from the frame up ourselves; on a mountain homestead in North Idaho; and in a big bougie RV that we used to travel the U.S. full-time for over four years. This photo is from 2017, from our first week as full-time RVers.

NORTH IDAHO HOMESTEAD

This photo was taken in 2016 in North Idaho where we lived on a off-grid mountain homestead. We’d bartered friends for the tin we put on the south face of the first floor.

Before too long we’d decide the water couldn’t stay above ground if we didn’t want it to freeze.

OFF-GRID DESERT LIVING

In 2020 and 2021, we lived in a remote area of the Mojave Desert on a 40-acre property. It was a triangle shaped plot, hence the name. We had all the solar you could need … and also all the dust.

But we managed to run a boutique coffee company while we were at it.
